Conditioning Class

Duration: One HourOur conditioning class is designed to improve the peripheral but necessary skills required for true warriorship. This class is not intended to replace conditioning done by the student at home, but instead to supplement it. Class curriculum is centered around (but not limited to) strengthening the 3 most vital areas for surviving an actual combat situation. These are:
1) Body Armor: This refers to having cultivated muscular strength and an overall healthy body. This is enacted through an extensive program of calisthenic exercises tailored to our Martial Art as well as a nutritional regimen. It is our belief that through the stripping away of unnecessary body fat and hardening of the body you can achieve a suit of natural armor that will serve to protect you in a real fight and contribute to your overall health and well being.
2) Body Weapons: The condition of your bodily weapons relates directly to your chances of surviving a real fight. For this reason, we train extensively on improving the strength and durability of our toes, knees, elbows, knuckles, fingertips and head. Utilizing the best of ancient and modern conditioning techniques, our program will allow you to feel and see results almost immediately.
3) Endurance: Endurance is the core of any Warriors skill set. Without it, one is faced with inevitable defeat in a real fight. Our program from start to finish is an exercise in endurance. Students are expected to establish a pace and breathing pattern to carry through the entire hour with little or no rest between sets. Students also engage in a variety of movement exercises that not only help build endurance but also prepare the body for success in advanced and technique classes. Students have reported significant gains in endurance after only a few classes.
